Accessibility Statement

OceanDisc LLC builds software for government agencies and public institutions, so accessibility is a requirement we design to, not an afterthought. This statement covers oceandisc.com, the marketing site you're reading now. The standard we build the software itself against is described in more detail on our About page.

Conformance target

We aim for this site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. That includes keyboard navigation throughout, visible focus indicators, sufficient color contrast, semantic headings, descriptive link text, and alt text on meaningful images.

This is a self-assessment against WCAG, not a certification from an outside auditor. We test the site with keyboard navigation, screen readers, and automated checks, and we review it again whenever we make significant changes. If something on the site doesn't meet that standard, we want to know so we can fix it.

Known limitations

Case-study pages render Markdown content, and older material may not always follow the same heading structure as newly written pages. We review this as part of every content update and correct issues as we find them.

Reporting a barrier

If you use assistive technology and run into something on this site that doesn't work the way it should, tell us through our contact form. Describe the page and what happened, and we'll look into it. We don't publish a fixed response time, but reports come directly to a principal, not a queue.
